QUALITY QUARTZ
KITCHEN & BATH COUNTERTOPS

Making the right decision on your new kitchen or bath countertop is important. Countertops need to be durable enough to withstand everyday use while being attractive and affordable. The Floor Store’s team of expert designers will go over the choices and help you select just the right countertop.

Marble and granite make luxurious surfaces that lend an air of warmth and elegance. They’re inviting to the touch and sheer grandeur to the eye. Beauty aside, marble and granite are also renowned for their brawn. The sharpest knives won’t scratch nor the hottest curling iron mar their surfaces. That’s why many homeowners choose quartz countertops for their kitchens and bath when it’s time to upgrade.

Granite is available in hundreds of colors, from bold to pastel, including shades of white, black, gray, green, blue, pink and beige. Patterns range from speckled with minerals to heavily veined and more. Marble is rich with crystals and color variations, include white, cream, black green and pink.  Every piece possesses a signature look from nature, so every countertop is a unique work of art.

When deciding which countertop is right for you, you should consider the following:

  • Lifestyle and Uses – Are you a gourmet chef or do you order out a lot?
  • Budget – Are you planning to be in your home for an extended period of time or this an investment property?
  • Color & Texture – Do you like a soft matte finish or hard & shiny finish?
  • Maintenance – Do you want a surface that will be stain proof?
  • Cabinetry – If replacing your counter tops, consider what condition or age your cabinets are. Should they be replaced?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - GRANITE COUNTERTOP FAQS

Granite countertops are an investment in your home which is why after years of wear they might not look as nice as the day they were installed. So when should they be resealed?

If you notice staining, discoloration or water penetrates the sealant then it is time to reseal. If you opt to not reseal, the granite may continue to get stained or even damaged.

Granite countertops should be polished about every 5-15 years depending on the wear and use. After polishing your countertops, they should also be sealed to keep them looking new for the next few years until they need to be re-polished.

Granite countertops can be cleaned much in the same way as other types of countertops. It is always best to use warm soap and water with a non-abrasive cleaning sponge or cloth. Remember to never use abrasive cleaners such as soft-scrub as this may scratch the protective layer or the stone itself.
